Loft

Iată că am văzut și varianta din 2008 a Loft-ului și cred că e puțin mai bună ca cea realizată de americani. Partea proastă e că am văzut prima oară filmul din 2014 și deja știam finalul și ce urmează. Dacă-l vezi pe ăsta prima oară vei realiza că este un thriller destul de bun care nu prea te lasă să îți dai seama de deznodământ sau de cine e vinovat, nu degeaba l-au copiat cei de peste ocean pentru varianta lor.
Ideea e grozavă, dar cum ulciorul nu merge de multe ori la apă, e inevitabil ca unul din gașcă să omită o regulă și să dea greș.

Loft

5 friends who are all married and know each other very well decide to rent a loft together. In this loft they meet their mistresses. Everything is OK until one morning the body of an unknown young woman is found in the loft. The 5 friends begin to suspect each other of murder. And it becomes clear that they don't know each other as good as they always thought.

The Forest

Unii probabil nu-l consideră horror, însă pe mine m-a cam lipit de canapea la unele faze. Nu neapărat fazele de speriat ci atmosfera în care te bagă și situația tensionată, mai ales ca povestea e interesantă.
Se termină totuși cam aiurea și brusc, dar îți dai seama de deznodământ mai ales ca pe tot parcursul filmului te cam bulversează.
Actrița principală face un rol bunicel, dar partea cea mai bună a filmului este ca nu durează foarte mult și nu apuci să te plictisești.

10 Cloverfield Lane

M-am enervat rău după ce s-a terminat filmul și am de gând să las aici toate motivele ca să nu greșiți și voi când alegeți să vizionați acest film.
Ideea este interesantă, începe bine, are 3 personaje și te ține în tensiune 80% din film. Bă băiatule, dar cum să pui așa încheiere penibilă și slabă după o acțiune decentă și demnă de un film de nota 8. Chiar și reacția actriței din rolul principal spune același lucru: "Zău așa?".
*SPOILER* Puteau pune stop în momentul în care a ieșit la suprafață și descoperea că de fapt omul nu vorbea prostii, dar să începi un nou film pentru că practic asta s-a întâmplat, să aduci creaturi dubioase și tu să o rezolvi în 5 minute cu un cocktail Molotov aruncat exact unde trebuie, e deja prea mult, CA MAI APOI să te duci să mai salvezi și-un alt oraș pentru că deh, deja ai experiență în a lichida personajele alea dubioase - BULLSHIT.
Nice to see Fred Flintstone again.
P.S. Să-l aplaudăm pe Bradley Cooper pentru cele 10-15 cuvinte rostite pe parcursul acestui film, fără a-și arăta chipul, le-o fi inregistrat de pe-o plajă pe care se relaxa cu banii pe acest film.

10 Cloverfield Lane

After a car accident, Michelle awakens to find herself in a mysterious bunker with two men named Howard and Emmett. Howard offers her a pair of crutches to help her remain mobile with her leg injury sustained from the car crash and tells her to "get good on those" before leaving the bunker. She has been given the information that there has been an alien attack and the outside world is poisoned. However, Howard and Emmett's intentions soon become questionable and Michelle is faced with a question: Is it better in here or out there?

Prometheus

Ce bine imi pare ca elimin din filmele astea SF la care nu cred ca as avea curaj sa ma uit daca nu aveam pornirea din acest moment. Dupa Man of Steel care a fost ok'ish, a urmat Prometheus care e de cacao. Nu pot intui alte parti pozitive pentru acest film in afara de cadrele impresionante pe un ecran mare, acel aparat care iti face orice operatie, dar stai sa vezi ca e doar pentru barbati (nu face cezariana), dar si nava care-i destul de cool overall.
In rest, logica scartaie pe parcursul celor 2 ore, iar unele faze sunt chiar aberante. Chiar daca este alert, filmul nu prea are suspans, iar coloana sonora lipseste cu desavarsire - o fi ceva normal pentru SF-uri.

Prometheus

This film is set in 2093 and takes place in the same universe as the 'Alien' movies. A group of explorers, including some archaeologists, are on an "undisclosed" mission. They arrive at a moon trillions of miles away from Earth. The team spot what they believe to be signs of civilization. They go to investigate and find more than just signs, they find conclusive evidence. But some of them have an ulterior motive for being there, including the Weyland Corporation. They believe that this is where the human race actually came from. Things soon turn from excitement to survival once inside their discovery.

The Gift

Mi s-a parut un film destul de bine realizat, iar avand in vedere ca nu este un horror cred ca a avut cateva faze care sa te faca sa te incolacesti putin si aici ma refer la genul de horror psihologic pentru ca nu sunt scene in care se taie capete si zboara sange pe pereti.
Misterul din plin si finalul neasteptat care te lasa pe tine sa alegi varianta pe care o vrei in deznodamant, cred ca reprezinta o reteta de succes, chiar daca ideea s-a mai repetat in multe filme cand apar unii 'obsedati' ce vor sa destrame o familie.
Jason Bateman joaca misto, mai ales ca el e genul de actor care apare prin filmele de comedie, dar si Joel Edgerton face o figura frumoasa.

As Robyn learns the unsettling truth about what happened between Simon and Gordo, she starts to question: how well do we really know the people closest to us, and are past bygones ever really bygones?

The Girl on the Train

Un film psihologic care ar trebui sa se joace cu mintea privitorului. Ce mi s-a parut mie insa, este ca vrea sa-ti dea un mindfuck grav, dar lasa in finalul fiecarei scene cu pricina un mic indiciu dupa care sa te ghidezi ca 'detectiv' al cazului. Pana aici totul e bine, ai parte de actiune si de un plan narativ, insa finalul mi se pare ca a stricat tot ... aveam o alta viziune asupra endingului fata de cea din film care mi s-a parut putin 'grabita' ca sa incheie filmul totusi. Pe langa asta mi se pare destul de lame si ireala ideea de a lua trenul intr-o directie si apoi retur, timp de un an, doar pentru cateva momente pe care le vezi pe geam.
Mi se pare genial ca dintr-un anume unghi e abordata mahmureala de a doua zi, de dupa o betie crunta cand nu-ti mai aduci aminte ce-ai facut, bine sau rau, dar iti poti imagina dupa ce vezi consecintele (hainele murdare si disparitia), iar Emily Blunt isi arata latura de genul in film :)).
Overall, mi s-a parut a fi o copie nereusita a Gone Girl, urmarind o idee comuna (de asemenea film dupa carte), dar nu e neaparat filmul pe care trebuie sa-l vezi la cinema mai ales ca te duci cu ceva asteptari la el (ca mine).

The Girl on the Train

The Girl on the Train is the story of Rachel Watson's life post-divorce. Every day, she takes the train in to work in New York, and every day the train passes by her old house. The house she lived in with her husband, who still lives there, with his new wife and child. As she attempts to not focus on her pain, she starts watching a couple who live a few houses down -- Megan and Scott Hipwell. She creates a wonderful dream life for them in her head, about how they are a perfect happy family. And then one day, as the train passes, she sees something shocking, filling her with rage. The next day, she wakes up with a horrible hangover, various wounds and bruises, and no memory of the night before. She has only a feeling: something bad happened. Then come the TV reports: Megan Hipwell is missing. Rachel becomes invested in the case and trying to find out what happened to Megan, where she is, and what exactly she herself was up to that same night Megan went missing.

The Guest

Incepe destul de interesant, insa pe parcurs isi pierde din eticheta de thriller si devine super previzibil. Este pacat de el pentru ca pornea super promitator si iti veneau in minte o sumedenie de intrebari, intrebari la care oricum nu gasesti raspunsul pana la final.
Dan Stevens, actorul principal, face un rol interesant, privirea lui ingheata toate apele cand e focusul pe ea. Pe langa el, muzica este un personaj in sine, o combinatie dubioasa si chiar cred ca 'dubioasa' e cel mai potrivit adjectiv, insa se potriveste de minune cu actiunea si merita ascultat intreg tracklistul.
Finalul te lasa in plop, la fel cu unele aspecte de pe parcurs, ceea ce nu prea e ok.

The Interpreter

Nu pot sa zic ca m-a prins ideea filmului, avand in vedere faptul ca e overused tema politica, in special rivalitatile dintre tari, mai iesit din comun faptul ca vorbim de niste tari de pe continentul african care barem stiu si ele atacuri teroriste in America.
Filmul nu este neaparat prost, insa toata actiunea se canalizeaza pe personajele cunoscute ale filmului, Sean Penn si Nicole Kidman care nu pot sa zic ca exceleaza. In rest, actiunea are ceva momente care te captiveaza si iti fura mintea, insa per total este cam previzibil si finalul usor de prevestit.

Transsiberian

Pare putin iesit din tipare filmul acesta, insa e misto ca prezinta una din cele mai lungi trasee pe calea ferata, o excursie care poata fi incercata si in zilele de astazi.
Ideea este originala, iar actiunea te tine in tensiune pe tot parcursul lui, exceptand unele momente in care totul e cam obvious si iti dai seama ce va urma in urmatoarele clipe, insa per total e un thriller bun.
Woody Harrelson este unul din actorii principali, cu un rol destul de amuzant si de bufon, insa Emily Mortimer este cea care ridica stacheta in film. De asemenea, o replica merita memorata dupa vizionare: "Cu minciuna poti continua sa mergi, dar nu te poti intoarce niciodata", o replica venita perfect in contextul unei calatorii cu trenul, insa vei observa ca trenul o va lua si inapoi, exact cand se intoarce totul de partea lor, cu o usoara referinta si pentru final, un final la care nu m-am gandit.

Transsiberian

Americans abroad. Roy and Jessie finished a volunteer stint in China. He loves trains, so they go home via the Trans-Siberia Express. There are strains in the relationship, including her past. They meet Carlos, a Spaniard, traveling with Abby, a young American. Carlos keeps close to Jessie, and when Roy is left behind and waits a day for the next train so he can catch up, Jessie and Carlos take a trip into the dead of winter to photograph a ruined church. Carlos may be running drugs, so, later, when Roy catches up and introduces Jessie to his new pal, an English speaking Russian narcotics detective, he's the last person Jessie wants to see. Will the Siberian desolation be their undoing?

The Raven

Acest film m-a surprins intr-un mod placut, avand in vedere ca nu sunt un fan al filmelor cu actiune in secolul 18-19 (majoritatea sunt slabe). Chiar daca e putin sadic, te tine in suspans intr-un mod eficient, iar finalul e bun pentru ca n-are finalul clasic al filmelor de genul, *SPOILER*, personajul este criminalul sau totul se intampla in mintea lui. *ENDOFSPOILER*
Per total filmul este reusit, actorii joaca destul de bine, suspansul este prezent pe tot parcursul actiunii, iar culorile si locul de desfasurare sustin atmosfera in care te introduse filmul.

The Raven

This movie is set in the mid 1800s and involves poet Edgar Allan Poe. A serial killer is on the loose and murdering people using Poe's descriptions from his published stories and poems. Poe teams up with Detective Fields, a Baltimore policeman to try and catch the killer by using his knowledge of the descriptions. Even though the stories are fictional, they start to become reality and the killer is a step ahead of them. Then it takes on a personal note as Poe's lover becomes a target. Will they stop the killer in time?

Allegiant

Partea a 3-a din seria Divergent. Dar si cea mai proasta de pana acum.
Am avut senzatia in fiecare clipa ca a fost facut deodata cu partea a 2-a si s-au gandit in ultimul moment sa il imparta in doua parti. De asemenea, si acesta a lasat loc de o imagine a urmatorului film din seria Divergent.
Aici, s-a mers pe acelasi tipar din Insurgent, usoara telenovela, actiune okish, caterinca lui Peter prezenta, insa mult prea multe clisee exagerate si faze in care spui cu voce tare "las-o ca e prea de tot".
Bila alba a filmului, Jeff Daniels, este neschimbat (fizic) fata de Dumb and Dumber, cel din 1994.

Allegiant

Unfriended

Fata de filmul anterior (Sicario), acum ma asteptam la un horror slab si boring inca din primele 20 de minute, avand in vedere ca are doar 80. Surprinzator, n-a fost chiar asa, avand in vedere ca e abordata o tema la ordinea zilei si un program pe care majoritatea il folosesc zilnic - Skype.
A fost destul de captivant, insa si acesta tras de par, toti sunt la distante considerabile unul fata de celalalt, toti is gasesc finalul in film intr-un anume fel si totusi destul de repede. Alta chestie, toti copiii astia sunt singuri acasa ? :)).
Chit ca e un horror (ok, nu unul stralucit pentru ca nu-s foarte hardcore fazele) si e un film, poate fi inspirat din fapte reale, iar ceea ce vrea sa invete privitorii este faptul ca orice adolescent e influentat de mediul online si este afectat de anumite chestii, mai ales daca sunt lucruri negative la persoana proprie. In ziua de astazi totul se viralizeaza in cateva minute si poti deveni bataia de joc a tuturor.

Unfriended (Cybernatural)

While video chatting one night, six high school friends receive a Skype message from a classmate who killed herself exactly one year ago. At first they think it's a prank, but when the girl starts revealing the friends' darkest secrets, they realize they are dealing with something out of this world, something that wants them dead.

Transcendence

Cred ca va dezamagi pe multi in clipa in care vor termina de vizionat acest film. Probabil si din trailer, insa nu este ceea ce crede fiecare sau ce ar vrea sa fie si se incadreaza la capitolul 'interesant' si atat, si asta din cateva motive: Ideea originala, dar pacat de modul de interpretare prin regizarea slaba si momentele moarte. Actorii buni, de prima mana, insa cu interpretari mediocre fata de operele consacrate. De asemenea, faptul ca Johnny Depp accepta si roluri mai serioase dupa seriile incarcate de rom :)).
Nu ma dau in vant dupa SF-uri insa imi dau silinta sa ma uit la ele, cu atat mai mult cand nu exagereaza si sunt de calitate, insa acest film m-a intins pe tot patul de plictiseala.

Transcendence
